That is a tomato plant starting up from seeds. I also have corn, carrots, spinach, beans and a few more things I am hoping to add this weekend.
The photo above was taken on my Motorola V3m Razr phone. It has been pressed back into temporary service for two reasons. One I want to put a new screen protector on my LG Dare but secondly, I have many friends who don't seem to realize that picture messaging is really no different than sending an email.

They are considering very expensive phones and plans associated with them just to share photos with friends over Facebook and Flickr. So I'm showing them how a phone considered old by most can still pull off the same thing. It also helps to keep those teenagers in line. A lot of my friends think that if their child doesn't have a "smartphone" that their child cannot access social networking sites or upload information or pictures to them.
I show them a little different. What is amazing is that even though I can get my phone to do this, I find the text input incredibly annoying and this is even with me being pretty decent at T9 text entry. I give them this fresh perspective and suddenly they realize their kids are aren't even looking at the phone while punching in 40 wpm with one thumb.
So yes parents/friends like me who are trying to stay in the loop. You gave your kid your old cell phone and they can and will send 1.3MP pictures of themselves doing whatever stupid antics they think you won't know about and post it to the internet and they'll do it with one thumb in their jacket pocket while swearing to you it never happened.
So the advice is two-fold. You don't need the expensive phone/data plan to share yourself, your kids don't need it to share either and finally, who's making salsa?
